“great fun”

My husband and I visited the museum early afternoon. The exhibits range from pornographic video to sex toys through the ages, to art work (statues, paintings etc). Reading up on the history was interesting, it shows how long certain things have been around for (and I am not talking 10's of years here). The sculptures were absolutely amazing and if you really want to see something special, please visit their toilet/restroom (which by the way was one of the cleanest ones I have seen during the whole of my Las Vegas trip!).
I think the only thing I was missing was a better flow from one section to the other, but that is a personal opinion.The decor is a bit dated, but the museum depends on donations so the more people visit, the more chance they will have to make improvements.
The staff are really friendly and they have a great shop. They even have for the locals a small library of all sorts. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I am glad we went. To continue the theme we went to see Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity in the evening. Read up on this show's review and you know what I mean!

Four Stars!

 

For a hoot, my husband and I (both in our early 60s) though we would check out this museum. We got there about 10min before it opened. It is located next door to a large adult shop and as we sat in the car, I began reconsidering our decision. Luckily we went in. The staff is so friendly and while the museum does have a bit of a "dated" look and atmosphere, it is so full of interesting items, you don't even notice after a few minutes. There is no real "flow" to the museum, but I liked that because we were able to roam around, do our own thing, and see what we wanted as we wanted to see it. If you are someone who is easily offended you don't want to go, because there are a number of graphic images... but what else would you expect?! We enjoyed ourselves very much, not only because of the exihibits, but also because of the friendly, informative staff.

“Hidden Gem”

Visited here one evening in September with the boyfriend. We both loved the place & found it really interesting, a great mix of exhibits and the staff were really friendly. The later opening hours were brill (10pm some nights) & the $15 entrance fee very reasonable, I have recommended it all my friends. Hope to come back in a couple of years!! :-) (also defiantly use the bathroom, its a nice surprise!!)

This museum is marvelous! Learned a lot of historical things about sex films that I didn't know. Also there was a beautiful display of bronze art work while we were there (the displays change as their donations or things on loan come in). I highly recommend visiting this museum! If you are at all curious about sex, the history of sex, films, peep shows, art work, etc. - just go and enjoy.
